Universities in Pontianak

There are some universities in Pontianak, such as:
1. Tanjungpura University
Tanjungpura University is located on Ayani road. It has 9 faculties: Education, Economics, Medicine, Law, Social, Agriculture, Forestry, Engineering and MIPA.

2. Polytechnic Pontianak
Polnep is located on Ayani road, besides Tanjungpura university. It has some departments: Mechanical engineering, Civil Engineering and Planning, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Marine Science and Fisheries,  
Estates, Architects, and Computer.


3. Muhammadiyah University
It is located on Ayani road. There are several faculties on this campus, : faculty of health, economics, health sciences, teacher training and education, fisheries and marine science, and engineering.

4. Panca Bhakti University
It is located on Kom Yos Soedarso road. It has some faculties: Agriculture., Economics, Law, Engineering.
There are 6 courses S-1, namely: Legal Studies courses, Civil Engineering, Agroteknologi, Agribusiness, Management and Accounting. In 2005 opened a course D III Midwifery.

5. STMIK Pontianak
It is located on Merdeka road. There are some departments: Information Management,  Information Systems and Information Engineering Department respectively for Diploma level III and Strata 1.

6. STKIP PGRI Pontianak
It is located on Ilham and Ampera road. It has some departments: Civic Education, Guidance Counseling, Indonesian, English, History, Mathematics, Physics, Computer, Physical Education and Health, and Geography.

and any other such as:
Widya Dharma University, Academic Foreign Language, Aisyah Midwifery, Soedarso Widfery, ASMI, STIE, and any others.
